CHC Learning Center provides special education, therapeutic programming, and health services for students with multiple disabilities ranging in age from birth to 21 years. As a private, not-for-profit New York State Education Department approved school, we are committed to the belief that all children, regardless of the type or degree of disabiltiy, are valued individuals who grow, develop, and learn. Classes are small and structured to meet the individual needs of students through creative age-appropriate instruction, state of the art technology, highly skilled, dedicated and compassionate staff, in a caring and supportive environment.

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
CHC is small school with a family like atmosphere, specializing in serving students with multiple disabilities and complex health needs. We respect and value each student and family. Through a strong team approach to education, we work together to discover each student's maximum potential. We strive to meet the needs of students with excellence in a caring and supportive environment. CHC uses advanced assistive technology, extensive augmentative communication devices, state of the art technology, creative curriculum, and a mutti-sensory environment to enhance educational and therapeutic services provided.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one center based location in Amherst, NY where we are currently serviing 52 students.
We currently have openings in our preschool class with the potential to expand services to 56 students.

CHC Learning Center is centrally located at 1085 Eggert Road, Amherst, NY 14226 on the south side of Main Street, between Main Street and Kensington Avenue. From Main Street, CHC is on the left side, .4 miles from Main Street. Look for redish/brown brick building, with 2 tall pine trees and a message board in between the trees, and a tall flag pole in front yard. Large white sign above front entrance says "CHC LEARNING CENTER". Note: do not use the 2 driveways from front parking lot...they are both one way exit only.
From the North:
Take I-290 East, Exit NY-263 S/Millersport Highway, cross Sheridan Drive, turn Left onto Eggert Road. After crossing Main Street, CHC is .4 miles on the left side, 1085 Eggert Road. Enter the first driveway on the property (closest to Main Street-one way, IN ONLY), drive all away around the back of the school and continue toward the front parking lot. Please note, both driveways from the front parking lot are EXITS ONLY).
From the South:
Take I-90 East, to NY 33-West, exit Eggert Road, turn Right onto Eggert Road, CHC is on the right side after crossing Kensington and LeBrun, 1085 Eggert Road. Park in the front crescent driveway, or enter the third driveway on the property (closest to Main Street), drive all away around the back of the school and continue toward the front parking lot. Please note, both driveways from the front parking lot are EXITS ONLY).
From the West:
Take NY-33 East, Exit Eggert Road, turn Left onto Eggert Road, after crossing both Kensington and then LeBrun, CHC is a short distance on the Right, 1085 Eggert Road. What type of payments do you accept?
There is no cost to families. Tuition and transportation are funded through the County Department of Health for early intervention and preschool students, and the local school district where students reside for school age students.
Which areas do you service?
CHC currently serves students from approximately 28 school districts throughout WNY in Erie and Niagara Counties.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
CHC is approved by the New York State Education Department, and is governed by a Board of Directors and an Administrative Team.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
We follow a typical school calendar between September-June, and have a 6 week summer program. CHC is closed on weekends, school holidays and recesses.
